Job description

  • Responsible to the Project Manager/Master for ensuring the project HSE management system implementation as per the client and all legal requirements such as SOLAS, ISM, ISPS and also the company HSE Management system as per the Ship Management Manual.
  • To be responsible for complete implementation Project and Ship HSE Management Systems as per the project procedures.
  • To communicate on regular basis with the onshore project management team on any HSE related issues
  • To ensure that daily progress reports have updated HSE Information as per the attachment.
  • To ensure that HSE issues or concerns are recorded in appropriate forum such as Daily meetings, Client meetings, Monthly meetings
  • To ensure and facilitated when required that risk assessements, Onsite JSA and HAZID are carried out on regular basis
  • To check that Daily Tool box meetings are carried out and documented
  • To carry out HSE Induction and familiarization for the project crew and all visitors coming onboard
  • To promote Safety Observation Scheme and communicate the same in a effective manner to all the project crew on regular basis and as part of HSE induction and familiarization
  • To collect onboard SOS Cards and update them on the summary sheet and communicate the same to project manager/HSE Manager onshore on weekly

  • To keep copies/original of all HSE records and documentation and make them available to onshore project team when necessary
  • To carry out HSE Inspection/audits on regular basis and close them out with corrective actions and facilitate any 3rd party HSE inspection or
  • To keep attendance records signed off for all meetings such as JSAs, Risk Assessment, Tool box talks, Safety Meetings, Management Review Meetings,
    Client Meetings etc.
  • To ensure that all incidents, accidents, Near misses, non-conformances are reported immediately and leads the investigation onsite alongwith
    Master and OIM Onboard and carries out root cause analysis and ensures the corrective and preventive actions have been implemented
  • To ensure that Emergency Response Plan (ERP) is communicated to all project crew and visitors and also to keep ERP updated.
  • Monitor any mock drills onboard and communicate the corrective measures and lessons learnt to all
  • Direct Advice to offshore personnel and onshore - Legal and other requirements, training, best industry safety practices as per SOLAS,
    ISM, ISPS and IMCA
  • To support HS&E Management/Interfacing with third parties and client
  • Support to Installation Activities as required

Job requirements

  • As work is in Indonesia, Indonesians only to apply
  • Min 5- 10 years hands on experience in offshore oil and gas environment or marine environment or heavy engineering
  • Has Valid OPITO T-Bosiet - Minimum 1-year validity from the time of joining the vessel
  • Has Valid Offshore medical – Minimum 1-year validity from the time of joining the vessel
  • Has Minimum 2 years experience working on Offshore Vessels
  • Medically fit for work
  • Has NEBOSH 
  • Good communication, report writing skills and presentation skills
  • Ability to relate to people at all levels and able to work in a multicultural environment
  • Self starter and independent and able to take initiatives and lead
