SCADA Site Engineer required in the Netherlands for over 12 months on a large Offshore Wind Farm Project.

Job description

As a SCADA Site Engineer you would be involved with the following;

  • Be single/first point of contact to the yard for the client and its contractors
  • Be responsible for the site facilities in the yard including IT, PPE etc
  • Witness relevant FAT tests for SCADA deliveries which will take place in different parts in Europe. SCADA deliveries include but not limited to: WTG SCADA, Substation Control System, Protection, Radio, Cables, Network, CCTV, LV Power Distribution, and Metering
  • Witness Mock up test for frequency interference test in Stellendam and follow up on issues during the test
  • Make sure of proper installation of antennas and racks on the onshore mast location, and at the O&M building
  • Witness and approve and document delivery, installation, commissioning work of SCADA scopes and handover to Client at both the OSS and the ONS
  • Escalate anything that is not working in an acceptable way (safety issues/ progress/ facilities / quality of contractors & HSMs work).
  • Align HSE requirements, making sure both client and the OSS fabricator’s (HSM) requirements are met, or an acceptable compromise found
  • Maintain an overview of the timeline of the contractors activities on the yard and make sure it is aligned with HSM
  • Follow up on HSM’s deliveries towards Client (including cabinet installation, cable pulling etc.)
  • Protect the client from unreasonable variations from contractors and HSM

Job requirements

You would require the following;

  • Five years of site based installation/commissioning experience within the energy/utilities sector
  • Qualified SCADA, EC&I engineer with experience of HV transmission and distribution
  • GWO qualification and offshore experience for Yard/OSP activities
  • Construction Safety Qualification for Site/Onshore works
  • Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to motivate, delegate and coordinate.
