We are seeking a Senior Hydrographic Professional to work in the capacity of Senior Hydrographic Surveyor to work in a small survey department in the South West UK. Interested candidates will need to have experience working with clients, designing and delivering projects, execution offshore to final delivery. This is a really good position that will allow you to be able to work from project start to completion.
The post is predominantly based in Cornwall where you will be required to play a key role in the management of ongoing projects as well as development of new business. This position will require the individual to work for extended periods away from the office on field work, both within the UK and further afield.

The job role will involve the utilisation of a full range of equipment including MBES, INS, RTK GNSS and USBL. You must be confident in mobilising equipment to a variety of vessel types, wherever required and often at short notice. Ideally you will have an understanding of both QINSy and EIVA for acquisition and processing tasks. Proficiency processing, analysis and interpretation of data and production of final reports and charts is essential.
The Senior Hydrographic surveyor will be involved in the management and execution of hydrographic surveys for geophysical acquisition and construction support. he role will also require development of tenders and quotations for a range of clients.
Proven Experience across a range of marine survey disciplines.
Experience in hydrographic surveying both inshore and offshore including SSS, MBES, SBES, GNSS systems, geophysical instrumentation, IMUs, motion compensators and USBL/SSBL, telemetry systems.
Experience with integrating 3rd party ROV and dive hardware with survey spread.
Experienced in cartography
Experienced project management and client liaison
Specialist recent software experience with: QINSy QPS Qimera, EIVA Navipac, ACAD Map 3D, Global Mapper, GIS or similar
Maintaining Health & Safety standards
High competence in hydrography skills
Highly competent in survey engineering skills
Data Processing and high quality, detailed report writing
Able to deal with sensitive data and client information in a confidential manner
Excellent communicator at all levels with a good understanding of equality and cultural diversities
