Job description

We are looking or a Lead Marine Coordinator for a project on the east coast of the UK starting March 2023 until April 2026. This is largely onshore position with offshore stays on an SOV when/as needed. Working 5 days a week 10 hours a day.


Tasks:


• Coordinate and supervision the marine coordination services (Offshore coordinator, onshore coordinator) to ensure the success of the project and at all time with regards to Quality and EHS

• Coordinate the execution of the operations activities to ensure that the Marine logistic meets strict safety, quality, cost and local requirements both during execution of the project

• Support the Marine operations package manager with the client and authorities’ interfaces (Customer, Marine Coordination Center, Port Authorities) regarding marine operations activities

• Lead and coordinate the marine logistic contractors/ suppliers for the execution (monitor performance, ensure follow up of documentations, deliverables, invoices, manning following services requirements, with regular supplier meeting and reporting associated)

• Support marine operations Package Manager with adverse events and claim for suppliers & customers contract clauses

• Contract, mobilization and readiness of marine logistic commodities (preparation and execution) with mobilization check list.

• Coordinate mobilization and execution of resources / assets (Vessels, Marine coordination’s) as per marine ops plan with Suppliers/ customers by holding regular meeting with Vessel masters (EHS, ops, documentations, logistics) and associated reporting (MoM and action list)

• Support with write up and update on project documentation as needed for reporting to the project management and Employer (including RAMS, marine coordination procedures, marine operations executive summary)

• Identify, report and escalate project Marine operations KPI as needed

• Responsible for the work executed under the company's contractual scope including EHS matters and compliance to the applicable Law

• Assess and delegate resolution of issues

• Propose improvements in order to get highest level in Security and/or cost reduction. Special attention to guarantee the fulfilment of EHS.

• Coordinate WIV crew change

• Review and coordinate approval of invoices following services provided ensuring updating budget forecast and cost tracker updated

• Ensure flawless execution and seamless transition from Commissioning to O&M.

• Ensure Lesson learned implementation to Marine operations function processes/procedures

• Be the point of contact for Customer, Marine Coordination, Authorities, Port for Marine operations topics on daily basis

• Ensure proper use of Seaplanner by vessels , site management and employer marine coordination services (review and approve DPR, ensure marine ops KPI up to date and dashboard created and available, ensure defect tracker and adverse event are up to date)


Job requirements

• Maritime background within the offshore industry with strong experience

• Technical or Marine commercial education at MSC level or equivalent experience

• Fluent in English Language.

• GWO certificates to go offshore
