We are looking for a Electrical Engineer in Rijswijk. As an Electrical Engineer working in Offshore installations, you support the design process, set up and fine-tune of industrial systems, including power distribution, control systems, operating systems (Linux) and hardware network configurations on oil and gas platforms, vessels and wind farms.

Job description

ou understand the installation requirements for harsh environmental conditions such as saltwater exposure, extreme temperatures, and high winds as well as safety regulations specific to offshore installations and hazardous areas.
You are responsible for the supervision of the installation of the system, as well as for the troubleshooting of technical equipment, testing and repairing to ensure that all systems are functioning correctly. As needed, you update the technical drawings, block, single line, connection diagrams, and data sheets conveying complex technical processes, configurations, and setups.
Your communication skills are as amazing as your technical skills. You can explain technical content to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You collaborate with colleagues and clients from various disciplines such as mechanical, control, software and safety engineering, to install and configure technical systems such as CCTV, and deal with advanced IP, IT networks and machine learning systems for offshore installations.

Job requirements

Who are you:
  • Are a resident of The Netherlands and have a permanent work permit (we do not sponsor visas nor relocations)
  • Have a technical degree such as electrical engineer, instrumentation engineer, control systems engineer, or equivalent.
  • Have at least 3 years of hands-on experience as an electrical engineer or equivalent role.
  • Have at least 3 years of hands-on experience and proven knowledge of hardware network configurations (Linux) troubleshooting, creating technical documentation, testing and deploying.
  • Have exceptional English communication and people skills, adept at conveying complex technical information to both tech and non-tech stakeholders.
  • Are willing to travel abroad and to offshore locations.
