Job description

Atlas professionals has an exciting perm opportunity to head up and develop the Operations & Maintenance division for one of our clients who is active within the offshore wind industry. This position has full responsibility for the operations and maintenance contract and will be the representative on the O&M scope onsite. In this position you will be reporting directly to the Operation and Maintenance Manager.


Main Accountabilities:

  • Representing your employer regarding the Operation and Maintenance Contract
  • Interface and be the local point of contact towards the subcontractors, suppliers and the O&M team
  • Onsite Management and coordination of the O&M Scope of Work
  • Project’s Planning of activities (Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair) considering minimization of downtime
  • Define methods statements for the activities to be performed and conduct onsite risk assessments with the Project’s team prior to operations
  • Cooperate closely with the suppliers and internal technicians to operate in an integrated team
  • Lead the Project’s remote monitoring and troubleshooting activities
  • Manage subcontracting of activities in case of need
  • Manage Spare Parts procurement process, logistics, storage, and dispatch
  • Internal and external reporting of activities
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve procedures for routine and corrective operations
  • Develop and refine training programs for the team, the customer, and subcontractors, as required, aiming at the scale-up of the business


Job requirements

  • 5-10 years of professional experience in the offshore Operations & Maintenance field for the wind energy sector
  • Project/Contract Management Experience is beneficial
  • Experience with offshore operations planning and execution, as well as leading Offshore Technicians
  • Hands-on knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems
  • Comfortable working offshore, in confined spaces and at heights, coping with the respective challenges of these environments
  • Leadership qualities and ability to lead and manage teams of internal and contracted technicians
  • Commitment to quality safety and risk management, including planning, safety awareness, tracking, and continuous improvement
  • Experience with client management, including implementation of reporting systems for both normal and unexpected events
  • Experience with subcontracting, procurement, and logistics management to ensure effective management of spare parts
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Certification for offshore works in accordance with GWO BST
