Atlas is currently reviewing its IT landscape and in search of a Backoffice Product owner to join and support this initiative and to join the Atlas Group. Do you consider yourself to be analytical and determined? Are you known as the person that really can self-motivate, a true communicator and manage expectations of demanding stakeholders? Being part of the IT team, this role would be supporting our divisions across the offshore energy, marine and renewable markets (specifically offshore wind) to analyse the capability of Workday and other IT solutions in the back-office domain, to deliver standardisation and optimisation. You will manage the maintenance, control, and enhancement to all systems within the back-office domain. You will work closely with the product teams (front and back), the technical teams and the key operational stakeholders.

Job description

What does the day to day look like?

You have your day planned out with activities that enables you to deliver on your responsibilities.


The daily standup with your team you use to discuss the several projects that you and your team members are working on. Next, off to a meeting about the implementation of a new finance change alignment process. You know your role is cut out a process to help prioritize the changes by using expected ROI. The other moment you have a catch up with other stakeholders, the gap between what they demand and what is possible is an interesting conversation. You can rely on your communication skills, creativity, and your determination to make sure expectations are managed without damaging your relationships with those stakeholders. Next for today is a meeting with the team to discuss the possibilities for standardization. You know that standardisation truly helps the organization move forward and providing an IT landscape that is efficient, compliant and stable. Whilst on with the team you also discuss the maintenance scheme. Meanwhile one of the operational team members needs some support around control regarding the access and permissions for all the systems within the back-office domain. You love to coach your team members and help them to develop in their roles. 

In the afternoon a Workday meeting is scheduled. You easily interact with all levels and with the in-depth knowledge of Workday along with patience and persistency you are seen as the expert. At the end of the day, you take time to reflect on the overall change and what next steps needs to be taken in the user journey to realise the transformation. You prep your next day to come and enjoy the evening that follows.

Job requirements

What do you bring along?
To make this a success both for yourself and for Atlas Professional, we believe that you bring along:

  • A Bachelor/master’s degree in business administration or Management Science, or the ability to perform at this level by experience.
  • Proven in-depth Workday knowledge
  • 5 years of experience in business analysis or business development on a medior / senior level with a certain degree of managerial experience
  • Understanding of procedural, administrative, and legal requirements within the recruitment industry
  • Experience in the use of process modelling techniques, process optimalisation and standardisation projects.
  • Fluent in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
And on a more competence level you as a person come with:
  • Managerial skills
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • The ability to communicate well with people from all levels, experiences, and departments within the organisation and externally
  • Second nature in problem solving
  • Getting things done mentality

Either you are working at our Head office in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands, or within travelling distance of one of our other offices in Europe or the UK. Or even completely remote from your home, we are flexible as long as you are located in a CET country and willing to travel on a regular basis.
