Short summary

Atlas Professionals are recruiting for Barge Supervisors for various adhoc positions based in the North Sea.

Job description

· Ensuring that all marine aspects of the rigs operations are carried out in accordance with statutory and regulatory controls and guidelines.

· Supervising the operation of the marine department to ensure safe and efficient running of the rig.

· Monitoring the weather conditions and rig motions and informing OIM of conditions that are likely to affect drilling operations and seaworthiness of the rig.

· Ensuring that accurate calculation of load distribution and weights for daily stability reports and lightship are maintained.

· Co-coordinating all helicopter and supply boats traffic, supervising movement of materials and personnel to and from the rig.

· Ensuring all navigation equipment is properly maintained and ready for use at all times.

· Monitoring quantities of expendables such as fuel, potable water and drill water etc.

· Ensuring that cranes are in safe working condition, ensuring all safety equipment, including lifeboats and fire-fighting equipment, is maintained in a state of operational readiness at all times.

· Actively participating in the daily operations meeting with the OIM and other rig department heads, operating and maintaining the bulk system as required.

· Supervising tests on fire fighting equipment, obstacle lighting and audible signals, ensuring that all lifting gears are inspected and certified, correctly color coded, maintained, and stowed properly.

· Preparing and supervising rig move plans and associated mobilization preparations and also responsible for supervising and assisting in the maintenance function testing and/or repairs of all aspects of the units ballasting and/or related rig systems and controls. 


Job requirements

Candidates are required to have previous offshore experience and the following North Sea certificates: BOSIET/FOET, CA EBS, MIST, OGUK Medical, Shoulder Measurements and Barge Supervisor License.
