Job description

What does the day to day look like?
This role is situated in an international finance team that aspires to reshape the processes and activities to continuously improve and identify the most efficient ways of working. This role is crucial to collaborate with the entire finance team, both in the Aberdeen office and within the global finance organization,to get the numbers right, and make the reporting to all stakeholders relevant, timely, accurate and complete.

To achieve this, the finance team is globally harmonizing all local ways of working, into a centralized and harmonized approach. You will have to connect with the tax, insurance and payroll teams to support financial controllers and management accountants in achieving alignment and control on the cross departmental activities. 

Job requirements

How can I achieve success?
As a Finance Business Partner you will have the ability to analyse finance data to assist in providing commercial financial support to the business. In addition to this you will be required to have the following experience and skill sets:

  • Own the profit & loss per allocated division and teams
  • Run the financial closing activities for legal entities assigned to you
  • Understand the impact of financial controlling activities
  • Analyse divisional monthly figures and correct errors
  • Periodically review the positions of accruals for revenues and cost of sales
  • Ensure accurate and complete monthly and quarterly divisional reporting
  • Provide insights to management and team-up in defining corrective actions
  • Provide relevant and quantified feedback on your division to the Head of Business Control
  • You will have previous experience in business controlling and commercial financial reporting
  • Must have strong analytical skills and be concise
  • To have an appreciation for commercial matters and look to be solutions focussed
  • Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally
  • Degree in accounting or business economics is preferred
