Job description

Our client is active within the offshore wind industry and have their experience within shipping. As they are growing quite fast they are now in search of a Fleet Manager who will join their wonderful organization and wants to be a part of the company.



  • Company representative and focal point for client at assigned ports and sites.
  • Contract awareness for assigned clients.
  • Take part in all KPI meetings as requested by the client and provide commercial / contractual updates to senior management as requested by respective site clients.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the site(s) and vessels as assigned to them
  • Assist the client in non-standard marine operational requests.
  • Coordinating the daily operation between the vessels, company’s management team and client.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with relevant suppliers, Port Authorities and Ship Yards. (including warehouse workers, vendors, purchasing managers, suppliers etc.)
  • Facilitate the purchase of consumable items for the vessel.
  • Ensure that all safety & emergency procedures are followed in accordance with company’s Safety Management documents, Company policies and local clients ERP.
  • Crew accommodation management including renting, fitting out and maintenance of suitable properties for Company’s crews in the designated local port areas with regular reviews/inspections of properties to ensure the correct standards are being maintained by the crew and landlords.
  • Make local crew arrangements in consultation with the Training department and CTV Crewing Services.
  • Liaise with the chartering department for new projects implementation and contract changes within the designated ports.
  • Prepare new site locations for new Company projects and produce new site manuals and relevant documentation for the project.
  • Follow up class and flag state requirements.
  • Conducts weekly vessel visits with the crews to discuss Company’s internal communications and any other business.
  • Create and present relevant company’s and client reports in line with individual port and client requirements.
  • Work in collaboration with other departmental managers to ensure a free-flowing information process.
  • Assist and support Lead Captains in the execution of their roles.

Management of:

  • crew performance
  • crew welfare
  • crewing issues reporting and management of with the CTV crewing department
  • Assisting CTV crewing and Training department with the management of annual appraisals and PIP’s for crews.
  • ADHOC out of hours travel planning.
  • Prepare and submit weekly Fleet Manager Reports to the Operations Manager.


  • In conjunction with the Technical Manager, make sure that all engineering/technical work is properly planned, executed, reported and documented in accordance with the company’s procedures.
  • When required, provides assistance when necessary to the vessel and onsite technical teams in troubleshooting activities.
  • Liaise with the client on any technical requirements for the vessel dockings, vessel movements and class inspections including port arrangements, dockings, fender changes, crane hire and diving operations.
  • Provides reports on technical deficiencies and inquiries to Technical Manager on regular basis as agreed/determined by Technical Manager.
  • Assist the Masters in purchasing and arranging delivery for critical vessel stores.
  • Liaison with Technical, Operational and QHSE departments for Vessel relocations.
  • Accompany internal / external audits, repairs, retrofit, dry dockings in consultation with the Technical Manager and Operations Manager.
  • Manages local arrangements for vessel surveys in consultation with Technical Manager and Operations Manager, including port arrangements, dockings, fender changes, crane hire and diving operations.
  • Crew HOW/HOR planning for extended technical maintenance periods.
  • Monitor Job cards for allocated ports


  • Appointed as first point of contact for the site, safeguarding and complying with the QHSE requirements.
  • Hold Port Safety Meetings every two months.
  • Liaise with the client and Vessel Masters to ensure company’s vessels are fully prepared for the audit.

  • English knowledge, able to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge on local shipping legislation and regulations
  • Operational experience preferably in shipping
  • Able to administrate and report
