Job description

General description and purpose:

  • Ensure license to operate in accordance with a recognized management system;
  • Identify, evaluate and control HSE hazards;
  • Continuously improving the HSE culture to achieve high standards for HSE.

Reports to:

SHE Manager Offshore Projects

Area of Responsibility:

Hazard identification, risk assessments and determining controls:

•Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&E) + a plan of action In line with Article 5 of the Health and Safety act (Arbowet):

•Provide guidance on accepted Risk Assessment methods within the client Offshore (e.g. HAZOP,

HAZID, Bow-Tie, JSA, etc.)

•Align on topics and content of General SHE risks within the offshore projects and consult with the Client Organisation.

Basic Safety Training and induction:

•Maintain the Basic Safety training requirements (client standard) for all Offshore projects in

line with latest industry standards;

•Maintain a modular Basic Offshore Safety instruction.

SHE Management System:

•Implement, update and communicate the SHE management system in alignment with the Client organisation, ISO45001 and ISO14001;

•Establish and maintain operating criteria (Client Basic Safety Rules) for offshore operations as

based on ISO 45001 chapter 8.1 for Client employees;

•Perform Document control on the Management System via a structured approach.

Project Emergency Response and corporate crisis management:

•Develop, implement and maintain the Emergency Response Plan for Offshore Projects;

•Capabilities of the Project Emergency Response Organisation up-to-date and keep alignment

with the Client Crisis Organisation.

Interface Marine Operations Centre:

•Act as the interface between the Client Offshore Project organisation and the Marine Operations Centre on the topic of SHE.

Job requirements

Competencies and experience:

•Engineer or similar technical education.

•Relevant SHE education/training.

•Relevant language skills, German, Dutch, English

•Experience from working with SHE matters from industrial business or similar.

• Experience in preparation of SHE procedures. Experience from working with management systems (ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001).

• Be able to analyse and systematise.

• Tutoring Experience
