Job description
- Contribute to the writing and negotiation of the contracts
- Ensure that the PM is kept informed about all significant technical issues and risks
- Ensure that contingency plans are being developed as required to ensure the delivery on time or with as little impact to program as possible.
- Ensure that the installation scope is analyzed and optimized to ensure safest and most efficient installation possible.
- Ensure that installation vessel charter agreements are in place.
- Manage installation related parts of the contracts.
- Manage interface between the different contactors (mainly WTG supplier and WTIV supplier) involved in the installation scope
- Ensure that documentation is being managed and aligned with the nominated MWS.
- Ensure that the contractors installation method statements and risk assessments are being reviewed and recommendation are given to improve the installation setup.
- Conduct HAZID/HAZOP and ROC drills for offshore installation operations
- Manage and coordinate installation interfaces with other team members.
- Manage Client Representatives and QA DPRs for WTG installation activities
- Participate in relevant project meetings.
- Manage the installation sea fastening design, related QA and compliance with international and national requirements.
- Manage geotechnical risks
- Manage weather risks
- Develop tools and process to monitor and control contractor progress and performance
- Provide input to package budgets and project stakeholders.
- Ensure that input to risk register, project planning, interface matrix and budgets are provided.
- Ensure that a high focus on HSE is presented throughout the project.
- Support Quality Management throughout the project
Job requirements
- Relevant engineering degree
- Min 3-5 years of relevant industry practice
- Proficient in both written and oral English communication
- Experience within procurement, contract and claim management. Knowledge of contract law (BIMCO and FIDIC based contracts)
- Experience within lifting and marine operations standards, offshore construction work and industry best practices
- Structural and geotechnical engineering basis
- Strong focus on HSE and HSE management
