At the moment we have a vacancy for the temporary position of Project Engineer. Interested? And do you have the necessary experience?
Our client is a leading global offshore jack-up company, providing services to support the oil & gas and renewable industry. They are equipped to undertake offshore wind projects involving the next generation of larger wind turbines in water.
The Engineering staff is mainly involved in (operational and project) engineering, conceptual design, projects and commercial engineering assistance. The Maintenance staff is heavily involved in the existing units and equipment. The multiple disciplines and backgrounds enable this department to cover the range of requests such as ECR (Engineering Change Requests), specifications, Basis of Design or tender assistance.
The Project engineers function is twofold and depending on the project specific demand for the Project department. In case of a significant project load the main tasks are directly related to the project work. In those circumstances the project engineer may report directly to the Project manager. In other circumstances the Project engineer is involved in feasibility studies, tenders, pre‐qualifications, Engineering. Change Requests and the assistance of docking preparations. Work location is primarily office based but includes offshore and on site visits on a regular basis. However during projects the Project engineer could be required to act as site engineer on board.
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Marine technology, Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering, Maroff, Naval architect or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of operational, offshore or O&G, project experience
- Minimum 3 years experience at engineering level
- Experience Maritime
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of engineering software a pre (stability calculations, vessel motions, structural calculations).
- Familiar with offshore / maritime legislation
- CAD experience and /or Inventor is preferred
