Job description

Based at the Clients' Houston facility warehouse you will report to the Technical Operations Supervisor. Your initial duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Compliance with HSEQ policies, standards and procedures
  • Familiarity with client sales and rental equipment
  • Working knowledge of pre and post hire procedures
  • Assist with the workshop preparation, testing and maintenance of rental equipment
  • Assist with fault-finding and repairs of field-serviceable equipment
  • Support rental & stock control systems, including stock moves, re-ordering and general housekeeping
  • Ability to work safely individually and as part of a team
  • Assist and work in other regions and departments as and when required
This is an entry level role where the successful candidate will be given opportunities to progress to a base & offshore engineer role where your duties and responsibilities when working offshore will include:
  • Installation, interfacing and operation of rental equipment on customers vessels or facilities
  • Deck operations for deployment and recovery of survey and rov equipment
  • Installation, configuration and operation of survey software packages
  • Creation of mobilization reports

Job requirements

  • US Citizen or Resident, locally based in Houston, TX
  • Diploma or equivalent trade qualification in Electronics and/or Communications Engineering
  • Exposure to electronic fault diagnostics and repairs
  • Excellent computer literacy including hardware knowledge, exposure to networking, Windows operating system and experience with common Microsoft Office applications
  • Hold or able to complete a BOSIET, MSIC and offshore medical
  • Current Texas driver’s license and vehicle
  • Willingness to work away for periods of time
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Good oral and written communication skills
