1 Description & Responsibilities

• Trouble Shooter Technician is the third level in the career path for Wind Turbine Technicians. As a Trouble Shooter Technician WT3 you will prioritise Quality, health, Safety and the Environment, and be responsible for the fault rectification and maintenance of our offshore wind turbines and associated assets. Together with your colleagues you will ensure high availability and production at all times.

• You are an experienced and accredited WT3 Technician, capable of executing scheduled maintenance without supervision at a consistent high level of efficiency and quality. You will provide both technical guidance and supervision to less experienced and qualified Technicians. You will participate in technical training courses.

• Maintain an understanding of the DONG Energy asset management policy and strategy and relevant responsibilities of the job.

2 Key Tasks and Deliverables

2.1 Key Tasks

• Identify common, reoccurring, and major component faults.

• Develop advanced troubleshooting knowledge and skills on site.

• Troubleshoots problems on systems in areas where duly trained/certified

• Must be able to carry out scheduled maintenance on site: Substation, Accommodation Platform (Poseidon), other offshore facilities inclusive foundation, TP, SCADA, cranes etc.

• May act as Appointed Person or Appointed Person Trainer to sign off on the development of individuals

• Maintaining and following the safety procedures as required under the Agreement and Company policy

• Lead teams conducting scheduled maintenance on wind turbines, foundation structures, offshore substations and all associated plant and apparatus at a consistent high level of efficiency and quality.

• Perform unscheduled maintenance and fault finding on wind turbines.

• Optimise the services campaign, work processes and propose improvements

• Ensure the validity of own safety certificates: Global Wind Organisations Standard Basic Safety Training (BST) etc.

• Responsible for the condition of own safety equipment: Life vest, helmet, fall harness etc. and that the supplied equipment always is ready to use.

• Deliver to the yearly site plan

• Utilise software systems to accurately record all elements of your daily work including hours worked, spare parts used and technical work order reports.

• Prepare and pack spare parts, tools and other equipment for all elements of maintenance work.

• Assist in large component replacements, retrofit, troubleshooting tasks and other special assignments with supervision

• Provide On Job Training to wind technicians in performing unscheduled and scheduled maintenance

• General cleaning all over site: Platforms, turbines, onshore facilities, storage, vessels, etc.

• Be proactive in maintaining competence level required for the job
